If you are looking to sell any of your collection. Come in extra prepared and be ready to negotiate and to be extremely low balled. Its my own fault not doing so. I’m not a high pressure person and usually expect to get treated fairly. I called over the phone to ask if they buy cards the day prior sounded like they said based on rough numbers that they’d probably pay 60-70%. I buy and sell cards so I go in knowing what I have. I have an about a $70k+ pc so I took in some cards I was willing to sell and let go retail value low end $4k but could sell well over$5k if I sold on eBay based on comps. I’m pretty good at finding good deals and made out pretty well over the years on cards. Took a big L today cause I was in a rush and unprepared. He took a stack back for comps worth about $3500 and I made the mistake say I want to come up with $1k, which I meant I was willing to sell 1-3k in cards which based on all that I brought in at 60% was able to be extremely reasonable. He came back with the stack and said he could give me a $1000 I immediately in my mind was like crap are you serious. Then took some away I was so caught off guard. But needed some money and didn’t think quick enough. He said he’d pay $450. I didn’t expect that and should spent more time reviewing the cards but had so many.and basically gave away several hundred dollars or free high value cards if someone was paying me 60-70%. Low end to average end retail estimated $1000-$2000. He low balled with about 30%-40% on my cards and like I said my own fault. So a warning if you plan on going in be extremely prepared to get low balled to the extreme and don’t take too many cards I could of been smart and walked away and let 2 of the cards a Kevin mconigle /99 auto a Nick Kurt’s auto /25 sell on eBay they both had several watchers with 12 hours of posting, That would’ve got me $500 after fees and I essentially gave a handful of great low numbered parallels for free. I felt pretty burned after leaving bu

I had such a great experience at Hoody’s Collectibles! I stopped in looking for sports card boxes for my husband and wasn’t exactly sure what to get. The gentleman who helped me was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk me through the different options and helped me pick out some great boxes that I know my husband will love. I really appreciated how welcoming and helpful he was. I’ll definitely be back!

My son was so excited to visit this card shop. We finally visited and he brought in his Pokemon cards and they offered cash back or trade in. $65 cash : $70 trade in and he was pretty excited! This is the place if you have kids into trading cards: Pokemon or sports.
