Card shop purchased card from someone I was to meet with in person and buy from at same time. We met at shop to verify card being legitimate and instead purchased from seller before I got there. Said she asked to verify and she was meeting someone but not that she said she was going to sell and asked if they’d offer same. Staff didn’t offer any way to help with situation. Right thing would have been to offer to sell to me directly even if it was a misunderstanding. Will not use them in future or purchase. Don’t recommend meeting with them to verify. Some staff seemed genuine and sincere, others didn’t seem to care. Edit: In response to comment by shop to my review. A couple employees seemed genuine but others seemed to know she was meeting someone to verify the card. From the time the seller came to the shop to the moment I got there and it was sold would have been maybe 5-10 minutes. The biggest thing about the incident was that after speaking to all the employees there was no help or solution offered. I think anyone that reads this review would agree in this oddly coincidental scenario the right thing would have been to offer to sell to myself since I had told you I specifically mentioned your shop to verify. Lastly one or two employees seemed to care or have empathy, but same as your tone in your comment about sour grapes, you don’t care, and I think that is because you know that situation was not handled well by staff and deserving of the 1 star review. Again beware meeting at this card shop to “verify” cards or purchase. Thank you

Great store for sports cards. Very decent bulk hockey selection. Smaller pokemon selection. Beautiful comfortable space.
Valleywide is the best card shop we’ve ever been to. Everyone who works here is so knowledgeable and helpful! My boys favorite place for cards in the Valley and we love spending our afternoons here!
I’ll be honest, I had 0 clue on sports cards and “slabs” as they call it nowadays. My knowledge dates back to 1995. I initially came into the store to find any Jordan, Messi, and Kobe memorabilia. But I just wanted to add collectibles to my investment portfolio. Initially I met Justin, who was knowledgeable about NFL and other trading cards. But I told him, I didn’t know anything. I’m an investor and not a collector, so I have no sentimental ties to anything. Just want to know what is probably going to go up in 5 years. He directed me to Pokemon cards, I was skeptical. I guess I’m just not a huge fan of the anime, but I’ve been to Japan and my kids are fans. Then I met Christian and Jacob and the three started to educate me more on why they are an investment as compared to traditional sports memorabilia. My qualifications were that it should be highly sought after, graded for investment, and something the world would find valuable beyond the USA market. Hence I guess Pokemon cards. So they advised me on some rare cards. I was happy to pay retail, as I just wanted them to be authentic and apparently they are the only place in the Valley who is a PSA partner. Then I met Noah, the owner, who had a finance background; so that was something I could understand and all of them were patient; they didn’t pressure me to buy anything. I picked up some of their cards they recommended. Some Jordan PSA cards, and a signed Ken Griffey Jr. HOF baseball. I’m happy with my purchase and investments. I brought them home and my kids as expected went bonkers on the Pokemon cards and questioned my intelligence on Jordan and the signed baseball. But overall, I learned a lot and now have some additional items to my portfolio. Thanks Noah and team!
Friendly and helpful staff/owner. Make you feel welcomed and wanting to come back. I brought my son (8 years) to his 1st ever card shop. They were patient/very helpful with our questions. My son picked up some Devon Booker cards, Pokemon pack, Lamine soccer card. Dad snuck in some Catylin Clark college cards, sorry Phoenix. I am eyeing that Clark rookie card!
