I'm going to start this review off by saying I'm completely new to collecting trading cards, specifically Pokemon. I came in a few weeks ago, and got helped by a wonderful gentleman named Brock who helped me decide where I should start, and how easy it is to get lost in the sauce lol. I used to collect cards as a kid, 20 years later and I'm baffled at how explosive it became. I acquired a binder full of base set, neo revelation, jungle and fossil cards from a friend of mine who no longer collected. I brought the binder in about a week ago to find out how cards are judged and graded (lp, mp, hp, dmg, etc.) My friend already valued his collection to be around $1100. When I brought in the binder, I worked with a man, didn't get his name, beard and glasses, all I wanted was some info on what people look for when it came to damage and quality. Told him I wasn't that interested in selling. After going through the binder, he said I had about $300 worth of stuff in there, and that he'd offer me $200. This is a long winded post to say if you're new to the hobby, there's going to be bad actors if you're not being diligent with your own research. After learning about damage and valuing each and every card, that same binder came out to be about $1500 now, and that there's people out there that will prey on your innocence and newness to the hobby. Even though I had an awesome first time experience with Brock, I don't think I'm going to patronize this store again and go elsewhere for my tcg needs *added photos to show some of the higher value cards in said binder

A local home for collectors.
Brian Pirrip called it 'one of the best card shops in the country' (some Twin Cities Redditors dissent on pricing).

These guys are amazing. My six-year-old son, looking to get a Pokémon cards, we came in and these guys hooked him and his sisters up with free decks. For certain getting my business, moving forward.
I go to all the shops in the Twin Cities and I gotta say these guys are the best!! No disrespect to the other shops as a lot of them are great. You may not always get a hello but the second you talk to any of these guys they are so willing to help and take care of you. Dan, the owner is such a nice guy and Trent and Josh who are two of the main guys have always been super great to me!! Highly highly recommend this shop!! The owner and staff are the best
Friendly and fast employee responses. It was clean and cool on a sunny summer day. The other customers were cheerful and excited to see the wide range of awesome inventory. Lots to chose from as a card collector. There were live breaks while I browsed. Neat place.
I was welcomed in to the shop with my child the minute we walked in the door. I had a great conversation with a guy whose first day was the day I was there. He showed me where the vintage cards were. I also talked to another person who was knowledgeable and talkative. We bought one graded card and since it was our first visit, he gave my 15-year-old a free pack of Pokémon cards. We talked vintage baseball and it reminded him of a card the shop just purchased, which he pulled out and showed me from the back. Great first experience.
