The Trainer Court is a cool Pokémon card store with a nice atmosphere for collectors. However, I paid $571 for a lightly played card with a market value of around $404. I feel I overpaid given the card’s condition. Great store, but make sure to check market prices before buying!

Best way to describe this is like going to a bar to grab some pokemon cards to rip. They’re pretty helpful as far as explaining how everything works for the pack bar which is pretty simple. Select the packs you want and they’ll get you those packs. What is pretty cool too is they give you a few sleeves and top loaders incase you get any hits, which we didn’t. Some of the packs are kind of decently priced, but the thing that sucks for me is that the packs were priced pretty higher than market price. If the prices were a little cheaper then I feel like it would make this place a little more enjoyable. If you’re expecting to rip some of the newer stuff, you can get a decent deal but anything older is way more expensive. Overall this was fun to come to as this aesthetic isn’t something you come across too often. Definitely worth a trip even if you don’t plan to buy anything. But I’m pretty sure you’ll buy a pack or two.
What an awesome place and people! They make you feel like your at home. Really helpfull and a reflection of how the Pokemon TCG Community should be. The building is also really nice, its clean and well organised with a lot of differend items.
Really great Pokémon card shop! They have a nice selection of cards and sealed products, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The store has a great vibe, especially if you’re into collecting Pokémon cards. I had a really good experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Trainer Court!
This place was so cool! As an out-of-towner who only has two LCS, one with limited Pokemon card stock, it was such a fun spot to pick up a couple of playable cards and some packs and PC cards I couldn’t get otherwise unless I bought online. I can’t say that the cards I picked up might have been overpriced - I wasn’t checking and I set a budget and knew what I was wanting, and everything in the binders were rounded to the dollar. But for a tourist in NYC, it was worth the money and the trip. I highly recommend this place. they also had a Pack Bar (pictured) and I did pull an SIR. They had some World “Karp” apparel and some foreign Pokemon Center exclusives and other plushies and lots of other TCG accessories inventory as well. Good overall, friendly staff!
