⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such a wonderful experience at this card shop, and I have to give a special thank you to Cici! She helped me so much and was incredibly sweet, patient, and kind throughout my visit. I came in with my kids, and even though they asked what felt like a thousand questions, she treated them with so much gentleness and care. She even gave them little goodie bags, which absolutely made their day! I also noticed that the store has a lot of great deals and a wide variety of items. The customer service was outstanding, and the welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. I will definitely be coming back. I’m so sad to hear that Cici is leaving.

Completely blown away by this place. They have one of the best collections of memorabilia I have ever seen. They have every sport you can think of and the store itself is just flawless. The kicker: the community events are on another level. Community events are part of any business's marketing budget, but this place goes above and beyond by integrating themselves in the town, que opening their doors to everyone. Phenomenal staff! Thanks Jerry, Justin, and everyone else!
I just started getting into collecting, specifically, soccer cards. I decided to check out Trace 'N Chase because the photos looked like it was a modern hobby shop that actually inviting. I've been to many that, sadly, are unorganized and not welcoming (especially for soccer). I walked in during a Baseball card trading night, alot of people in the shop and security on hand (police officer). I was helped by a young guy who helped me purchase a box of Donruss Road to the World Cup. Easy transaction and even talked about New York Red Bulls. Great shop, keep up the good work !
I’ve been to Trace & Chase 3–4 times now, and unfortunately I’ve never had a positive experience. I got into the hobby when Topps took over the basketball license and pulled a LeBron All Kings from a Fanatics blaster. I sent it to PSA and it came back a 10. At the time, the card was selling for around $2,600–$2,800 raw, with one PSA 10 sale to reference that was listed at $10,000 and ultimately sold via Best Offer. Trace & Chase offered me $3,000 for it. That card is now selling for $17,000+ in a PSA 10. Obviously, I’m very glad I passed on that offer, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. My second experience was trying to buy a Topps Chrome Basketball Mega Box. During a period when collectors were scrambling to find them, Trace & Chase had raised the price to $200, despite the boxes originally retailing for $80 before Topps announced the Blue X-Fractor program. The third time was on Topps Chrome Update basketball release day. They had blasters sitting behind the counter but told me they weren’t selling them. They also refused to accept my Topps MVP Buybacks for SGA Chrome cards. About a week later, I saw on their Instagram that the same product was now available — for roughly 90% above retail. So the blasters weren’t actually unavailable, they just weren’t willing to sell them at a fair price, or take trade-ins, until they could flip the inventory for a bigger markup. At this point, I’ve had enough experiences to feel pretty confident saying this shop is not interested in treating collectors fairly. If you’re a collector looking for reasonable prices and a good experience, I would personally recommend going somewhere else. There are plenty of card shops that actually value their customers and the hobby — shops that plan on still being here in a couple years. I’ll be sure to swing by Trace & Chase’s closing sale. EDIT TO OWNER REPLY: Appreciate the response, but I'd push back on a couple points. On the LeBron — the card was a PSA 10 in the holder,
The store is beautiful, but we did not have a beautiful shopping experience today. One of the features listed on your website is your indoor half court and “community designed to connect, break and trade.” If you don’t want paying customers “bouncing balls” on the basketball court (that takes up half the store) put up a sign that says 10 min limit. My husband was playing basketball for part of the time my son and his friend shopped. He was not playing for “45 minutes”. There were other people in and out playing basketball as well. There were no more than 5-7 customers in the store at any time (we were a party of 4.) Both our boys made purchases. (My son purchased other cards earlier in the week. We spent over $150 in the last 5 days. He wanted to bring his dad back to see the store to see how cool it was.) There was zero reason to be condescending to paying customers. While we were walking out, after the interaction with your staff member, another adult customer turned to me and said “I was going to shoot a basket, but then I was scared.” Is that the experience you are looking for your customers to have? Don’t expect customers to know rules that aren’t posted in store or online and there were much kinder ways you could have gone about sharing that you wanted to them stop playing.
