Edited***I am astonished how they treated us. The lady sitting down at the counter in the center just starred us down as we walked around the small area, the older man was working helping a customer , the middle age man just couldn’t come out of the nose up behavior to ask us how we are or did we need help with anything. We could have bought plenty of cards but that type of too good to ask someone how they are attitude shows a-lot about someone. Just go down the street to through the decades they are nerdy and friendly. I mean it’s a whole other atmosphere down there. Edit**** Not a promoter or slander or anything just a customer who came in to purchase something and we were not greeted or anything. Yes there was a lady sitting at a table in the center not sure if she was a customer or a worker but the stare down was real. This is the most ridiculous reply. I have been 2 both of these stores and i would recommend the other place so i left a public review on how i personally feel Sorry if this review made you feel some type of way. Everyone deserves customer service at a place of business especially for some hobby thats not a necessity. Some of these reviews are family so of course they will say nice things…
Louisville Sports Cards
Louisville Sports Cards is a sports card shop in Louisville, Kentucky. They specialize in sports cards.
A local home for collectors.
Edit: response to owner You still think it was just about not buying cards and completely missed the point of my review. Appreciate you taking the time to review your footage and confirm it went down like I said. Hopefully my review will help parents prepare kids for what to expect when they go into your shop. ______ My son is just getting to the age where he’s interested in collecting cards. So, we went to Louisville Sports Cards with some of his cards that we looked up and are selling in the $30-$50 range. Nothing too rare or expensive, but he was hoping to sell or trade his first card at a real shop. The clerk said, “I’m real picky,” spent 30 seconds flipping through them, and said “sorry, there’s nothing I want.” Didn’t even bother speaking directly to my son. These folks are just collectors who only view cards as a business. Disappointed, we decided to try Sandlot Sports Cards. Complete 180 experience. The owner was kind, talked with my son about his favorite teams and players and eventually made a small trade with him. This will be our card shop from now on. If you want your kid to learn how fun collecting and trading cards can be, I highly recommend Sandlot. If you want to teach your kid the business of buying and selling cards, try Louisville Sports Cards.2c:T46b,{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"Store","name":"Louisville Sports Cards","url":"https://cardshopdir.com/shop/louisville-sports-cards-louisville-ky","image":"https://assert.cardshopdir.com/shops/louisville-sports-cards-louisville-ky.jpg","telephone":"(502) 276-1631","email":"louisvillecardshop@gmail.com","website":"https://www.sportscardstorelouisville.com/","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","streetAddress":"11519 Shelbyville Road","addressLocality":"Louisville","addressRegion":"KY","postalCode":"40243","addressCountry":"United States"},"geo":{"@type":"GeoCoordinates","latitude":"38.2458782","longitude":"-85.5428626"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":"4.5","reviewC

This is the best card shop I’ve been to in a while. I recently got into baseball card collecting and I had opened up a couple hobby boxes and such and I truly didn’t understand what I had so I went into my closest card shop which is this one and I can say for sure this is my new place to go. The man that helped me out was so patient with me and helped me find my best cards and tell me how much they were worth 1 by 1. He also assisted me with finding a box of cards within my budget and even gave me a great deal! When I opened the box there (they have opening tables), I was pleased to see a good auto. I brought it up to the man I had talked to earlier and instead of him wanting me to sell it, he told me to keep it because it would definitely grow in value. This is an amazing place to take you family or your kids trying to get into the hobby, with the fair prices, helpful staff, and great environment I truly recommend checking this place out!
One of the best cards shops I've been to. Extremely reasonable and very knowledgeable. Ten out of ten!
Amazing collection of cards. Staff was very friendly . Asked if we needed help and quick to respond to our questions. I will be back, can't wait to get more new Topps football cards. Recommend if you are looking for vintage cards, they have a great selection.
We came in searching for a wailmer or wailord Pokémon card for my son who is obsessed with both. We didn’t see any out on the floor so we asked if they knew what pack he may come in. Kristen told us she may have one in her personal collection and she would check. Well, she ended up having one and sold it to us…from her personal collection 🥹 such a sweet gesture and it will for sure make my sons day! She also put him together a Pokémon goodie bag with stickers, binder, and a mat. You don’t find many people like her nowadays. Such a caring person. I can’t say thank you enough. We will be back! Thank you so much! 🖤
